nite escape: muara angke

what can i say. we're both love have an escape, especially to places we've never visit before. like yesterday, on the afternoon, he suddenly texted me and asked me to go to muara angke at nite after work. it's been a very nice of him, especially these days since he proposed me. i don't know why, but i'm thanking God for this, he becomes a sweeter man lately. and here we are, escaping to muara angke, just for a dinner.

muara angke is a place in north jakarta which is famous as a fishing village. most of the people here are fisherman. in muara angke, there is one of the biggest fish market in jakarta. and i suddenly feel so fishy, haha...

so, after arriving in muara angke, we're passing through the fish market. at first, he wanted to buy a fresh fish and bring it to a small restaurant who can cook it nearby. but then we've been guided by a local to a restaurant which already served the fish too. i decided to buy the fish there instead of buying at the fish market for 1 or 2 fish only. to be honest, i don't know what the normal fish price, so to make it save, lets just get it from the restaurant.

it's not a luxurious one, but not that bad either. then we ordered a bawal fish with 3 types of sambal. plus a squid to complete it.

and you know what? it's so delicious! maybe because the fish are fresh from the sea, or maybe because they cook it so well, or both plus we're in a very hungry situation. haha...

done with the dinner, we're moving back to the fish market to find some otak-otak. it's a fish food combined with flour and some seasonings. so we stopped here. otak-otak covered with banana leaves and burned in fire to make it more tasty. best eat it while it's hot with the peanut sauce.




nite's is almost over but the fish market is just alive. you can easily smell the fish everywhere! haha...
since i life in a dorm and don't have a kitchen, so we're just passing these fresh fishes. sorry fish, not today. next time i'll be back!
