trying my new oven: rosemary roasted chicken with honey
this is a story of my lovable husband who suddenly taking my joke about asking him to buy me an oven seriously. so yesterday, i just play with words when i send him a message that i want an oven, and ask him to buy me one. we usually take this kinda thing as joke. but then, at nite, before he went home, he called me and said that he's about to buy one and ask me which brand i would prefer to have. hahaha...
short story long, he went home with this brand new oven. big yay! can get enough to thank you, luv!
so this early morning, we decided to try and test the oven to make sure we don't need to use the guarantee card. without thinking any further, i took the chicken on my fridge make this.
i called it "Rosemary Roasted Chicken with Honey". and these are the ingredients.
to make this simple recipe, you only need:
whole chicken, cut in the size you want (i usually cut 1 chicken into 12 pieces to make it easy to eat)
rosemary (i bought the dried one on supermarket)
honey
salt & pepper
and oil
easy to set, right? nah, it won't make you crazy in making it too since you only need to put the chicken in a bowl and marinate it with honey (you can give as much as you want the taste would be), give some salt and pepper plus some rosemary to give a special taste on it. then get a tray, give some oil on it surface and put the marinated chicken onto it (when you think the ingredient blend enough).
we're not done yet. preheat the oven on 1900 for 50 minutes then put the chicken inside the oven. my husband set the oven on 1500 after 30 minutes and then just wait till it's done.
the blackness on the tray is caused by the sweetness of honey -_-
i'm sure you can make it better than me, or maybe later i can make a better one since this is my first trial of the oven, and the recipe itself, haha...
how's the taste? of course its yummy! hahaha... hmm, but i think i need to marinate it longer, or let it be marinated for one night on the fridge would be better, i guess.
simple, right? you can try one and lemme know the taste :p
anyway, welcome to my new oven! yay!
