magenta and fuchsia

some people may recognize it as bright pink or hot pink. some others say it is purple. it's actually magenta, or fuchsia. yes, both are the same. magenta or fuchsia is the name of this beautiful color we often see on the flowers, or fashion items.

i read it somewhere that,
the color magenta is sometimes also known as Fuchsia after the color of the flowers of the same name, named after Leonhart Fuchs.

to get this kind of color, we can try mixing red and blue light. it could be too purple or too red, but we can just find it right when we just mix it well. don't ask me the composition ya, hehe...

like the other colors, fuchsia has some variations too. fuchsia is divided into fashion fuchsia, fuchsia rose, deep fuchsia, fandango (i heard it first from a song) and antique fuchsia. so, it would be a bit harder to divine fuchsia it self without bring the "variations" name. at least for me. hehe, since these variations i sometimes called as another color. in one time, maybe i just called this fuchsia rose as pink, or purple as i see an antique fuchsia. but anyway, they should be different from one another.

from the web where i took this picture, it was said that in general, fuchsias are the symbol for confiding love. maybe it came from the bright, passionate pink colors it has. so it would be perfect to give someone you love, a fuchsia gift :)
