saturday ala jamie oliver!

so, the theme today is cooking something different, and yesterday i browsed some recipes on jamie oliver's website. i found out that he made some beginners level cooking with recipes and steps. and i decided to cook some.

at first i planned to make a banana and blueberry french toast for breakfast and rosemary grilled chicken for lunch, but hubby wants the chicken for breakfast (yeah, we're indonesian with some local stomach -_-)

so i bought these on friday. some groceries quick shop at lunch break.

and early this morning, i run into a fresh grocery seller nearby my house cluster, and bought chicken breast and tried to find a lemon. i couldn't find any lemons, so i decided to change it with lime.

honestly, this is my first time fillet a chicken. yes, i bought chicken breast with bones, mean i have to try to fillet it my self. a bit messy but i did it anyway :p

wanna know the recipe? okay, i'll share it.

first, prepare a chicken breast fillet. make sure it's free from it's skin and the fat.

spread some rosemary (jamie said it's better to chop a fresh rosemary, but it's so hard to find it here so i chose the packaging one) with some salt and pepper as you like. then put the chicken on it. do it again for the other side. oya, i forgot to tell you, jamie mention to cover the chicken with baking paper or i do it with plastic and hit it with the back of a pan so we can get a better, thinner chicken.

then i pour some olive oil and some lime juice on the chicken and make it marinated for a while.

after that, i decided to put it on a pan grill for a while to get the juice and grill it till it's done.

meanwhile, i prepared the side dish. fried some fries and made this wonderful buttered spinach. it's so easy to make this buttered spinach. just put the pan on fire with a bit oil, then pour a chopped garlic, spinach, salt, pepper, unsalted butter and olive oil.

then voila! those three elements were ready in the same time!

so here my saturday's breakfast, rosemary grilled chicken with buttered spinach and french fries from jamie oliver's recipe a la me! did it taste good? a hundred percent! hahaha....
and what i love is hubby loves it! yay!
